The ABS MAX RATING is still 150°C with regards to its reliability and qualification. The ADA4870 has a shutdown feature, 140°C is the temperature level that the part will shutdown as per our test data for SOA.

What are your concerns regarding the change and what effects it will have on your current application?

Do all ADA4870 package versions have this feature? The old datasheet did not refer to that so just would like to see if this feature is available from the original ADA4870.

Yes. The PSOP package also has a shutdown feature.

So, is the reason of the difference of SOA in spite of same components ‘measured the SOA of ADA4870ARRZ-RL (the previous PSOP package) ignored thermal protection accidentally?’

We just want to know those components has exactly same performance except thermal resistance or not.

Yes, the PSOP package has greater thermal resistance than the LFCSP package but the performance should be the same.
